Peer - Review & Publication Policies

Peer Review Statement:

All research articles submitted to publishers have undergone rigorous double-blind peer-review by possible reviewers, with both reviewers and authors remaining anonymous throughout the review process. Every proposal submitted for publication was initially screened by the editor-in-chief or Managing Editor; if the paper agrees with editorial policies and meets a minimum quality level, it was anonymized refereed by at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The reviewers will not know who the author is because any identifying information will be removed from the paper before it is reviewed.

Reviewers' comments to the editors are kept confidential and will be made anonymous before being forwarded to the author. Based on the reviewers' remarks, the Editorial Board takes a final decision on the manuscript's acceptability and conveys the decision to the authors, together with the referees' reports. Whether or not considerable alterations are offered, acceptance is contingent on the author's ability to deal with them adequately. The final manuscript was published with the editor-in-approval chief's and agreement with the opinion of the referee(s). The decision of the Editor is final.

Online proof correction:

Corresponding authors will receive an e-mail with instructions for annotating and correcting proofs in the paper. In MS Word, the proofing environment is similar: in addition to changing text, you may also remark on figures/tables and answer reviewer queries. You can still annotate and publish your changes to the MS Word version if you wish. All proofing instructions will be included in the e-mail we provide to writers.

We will do everything in our power to get your storey published as soon as possible and as precisely as possible. Please only use this proof to check the formatting, editing, completeness, and accuracy of the text, tables, and figures. Significant revisions to the article as it has been accepted for publication will be considered only with the Editor's agreement at this time. It is critical that all corrections are returned to us in a single communication. Please double-check before responding, since further corrections cannot be guaranteed to be included. It is entirely your obligation to proofread.

Revised Submissions:

Authors must submit their manuscript as a Microsoft® (MS) Word document online via the e-mail submission system.

Offprints:

The corresponding author will receive a customised link with free access to the final published version of the articles published by Publishers at no cost. The Share Link can be used to distribute the item via any communication channel, such as email or social media. Corresponding authors receive their final published version of the article, which is open access on the publisher's website and can be shared via the article's DOI link.

Digital Archiving / Preservation Policy

We adhere to Sherpa/Romeo's green archiving policy (https://v2.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/), and because we publish articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, both pre-print and post-print or publisher's version/PDF can be stored without limitation.

Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN)

JMS is a member of the PKP Preservation Network (PN). To digitally preserve OJS journals, PKP has created the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The LOCKSS programme provides decentralised and distributed preservation, seamless perpetual access, and the preservation of the content's true original version. The PKP PN guarantees that journals not part of the Global LOCKSS Network, which primarily maintains content from major publishers and suppliers, or an existing PLN, which retains a small number of OJS journals hosted by member libraries, can be saved using the LOCKSS software.
